Job Description

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team providing comprehensive emergency medicine services to the patients of Geraldton Health Campus. The ED is a busy regional department seeing around 40,000 presentations per year. There is a broad case mix including high acuity and trauma presentations as well as interhospital transfers from throughout the Midwest Region.

Our blended medical model includes specialists, highly skilled Senior Medical Practitioners, Registrars, and Residents, underpinned by an active culture of teaching. We have placements for GP trainees along with ACEM and CICM trainees and our senior doctors each have a portfolio with dedicated non-clinical time to contribute to safe, high-quality care and enhancing the overall patient experience.

Requirements

Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent as an overseas-trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABEM certified), or New Zealand.
