Job Summary:

This role involves measuring, monitoring and controlling counterparty risk for institutional clients. It requires analyzing portfolios and businesses to ensure risks are properly measured and controlled in accordance with the firm's risk policies.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Counterparty Exposure (CPE) team under the global Institutional Credit Management (ICM) group and be responsible for approving credit reviews, maintaining and managing credit exposures, advising on large transactions, and working with risk colleagues to mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities include performing daily and weekly risk analysis and reporting, communicating key findings to senior management, and representing the department to independent risk teams, auditors and regulatory agencies.

  • Measuring and Monitoring Counterparty Risk:

    ">

    Measure and monitor counterparty risk for institutional clients, including assessing portfolio risk, liquidity of client positions, credit limits and risk appetite ratios.

  • Maintaining and Managing Credit Exposures:

    ">

    Maintain and manage credit exposures to clients across derivatives, financing and direct lending products.

  • Advising on Large Transactions:

    ">

    Advise and approve large transactions or deals that require individual risk assessment.

  • Working with Risk Colleagues:

    ">

    Work with risk colleagues on risk mitigation at both inception of transactions and on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:

  • ">

  • Experience:

    ">

    More than 12 years' experience in credit risk management, preferably gained at a major financial institution.

    ">">

  • Qualifications:

    ">

    Bachelor's/Master's Degree in mathematics, science, finance/economics or a related field required.

  • Skills:

    Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work well with cross-functional teams and excellent written and oral communication skills.
