About the Opportunity

Australia Post is a leading provider of postal and logistics services, and we're seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Retail Customer Service Officer to join our team.

As a Retail Customer Service Officer, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, providing sales and service transactions, and promoting our products and services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service and sales support to customers
  • Managing high-value transactions accurately, including cash, cheques, credit cards, and EFTPOS
  • Conducting and processing identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews
  • Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising, and other promotional activities
  • Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs
  • Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
  • Assisting with administrative duties, such as stocktaking and record maintenance

You will be working in a fast-paced retail environment, and you will need to be able to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team.

About You

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will need to have:

  • Experience in customer service and/or cash handling
  • Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift
