As a Category Analyst, you will contribute to the development of commercial strategies and plans for assigned brands and categories.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop analytical insights to support the creation and delivery of commercial strategies and customer category plans in conjunction with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Create data-driven content to share with Commercial Strategy & Planning Managers and brand teams for input into gate processes and launch planning for New Product Developments (NPD).
  • Collaborate with Commercial Strategy & Planning Managers and Sales Teams to develop analysis and insights that drive improvement for Opella brands in store.
  • Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions to address these gaps.
  • Support the coordination of the Annual Sales Planning Process by integrating sales and revenue management initiatives into Commercial Plans.
  • Track progress and measure performance against Commercial Plans, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
About You
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or similar relevant field.
Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years FMCG Industry experience in a previous Category, Trade Marketing, Sales or Marketing role OR within a data insights organisation such as Nielsen etc.
  • Experience working with data sources such as IRI/Nielsen/IQVIA/Quantium/Circana preferred.
  • Proven ability to create insights across various data sets and visualise data/insights tailored to different audiences – skilled in storytelling.

  • Commercial and Financial acumen with advanced analytical skills – able to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and challenge the status quo with a proactive approach.
  • Self-reliant, decisive and resilient, with a strong ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Proven willingness to take ownership, accept accountability for results, deliver and share success within the team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
