Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance support across the production plant.

This includes technical breakdown problem solving, improvements and preventative maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to work.

They will also possess effective communication skills, a strong commitment to quality and a focus on delivering results.

The Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will provide comprehensive technical support to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical work is carried out to meet safety and housekeeping requirements.

Additionally, you will be expected to demonstrate problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.

Be a proactive team member who shows initiative to build on cultural change improvements to create a stress-free environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Certificate III Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualifications required.

A Certificate IV in Engineering Mechanical or Hydraulics or Pneumatics is an advantage but not essential.

Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel highly desired.

Effective and efficient fault-finding and diagnostic skills required.

Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential).

Strong team player with motivated and positive attitude.
