Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Demand Planning and Supply Chain Strategist to join our team in North Sydney. This role will play a critical part in driving business growth by developing and implementing effective demand planning strategies.

About the Role

In this key position, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and economic indicators to create accurate demand forecasts. You will develop and maintain statistical models and forecasting techniques to predict future demand, working closely with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to gather input and validate demand forecasts.

You will facilitate S&OP meetings to align demand plans with supply chain capabilities and business objectives, ensuring that demand forecasts are integrated into the overall business planning process and aligned with financial targets.

Additionally, you will track and analyze forecast accuracy, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions to improve forecasting performance. You will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast bias, demand variability, and inventory turnover.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in Demand Planning, S&OP, ideally from the FMCG industry;
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and identify trends and patterns, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure precise demand forecasts and inventory plans;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely;
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address demand planning challenges and implement effective solutions;
  • Knowledge of demand planning and forecasting software (e.g., SAP APO), familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and techniques;
  • S&OP experience;
