Oncology Nursing Role Overview

At our organization, we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our dynamic oncology team. This rewarding role involves delivering high-quality treatment services to the local community.

This is a part-time, permanent position working 3 days per week (0.6FTE), with no weekend or after-hours work required. We offer support and training to help you succeed, including professional development opportunities during your time with us.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and at least 12 months of oncology experience. You should also possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong clinical and problem-solving abilities, and effective care planning and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based, comprehensive oncology nursing care.
  • Practice in accordance with NSW Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
  • Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.
  • Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
