Men's Behaviour Change Facilitator
">This is a pivotal role in promoting change and accountability for men who have used violence in their relationships. As our facilitator, you'll co-facilitate the Taking Responsibility group as part of the Men's Behaviour Change program. You'll create a therapeutic group environment to promote change and accountability for men who have used violence in their relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Foster a safe and respectful environment for participants to engage in open discussion and reflection.
- Work collaboratively with co-facilitators and the wider Family Safety team to provide interventions that facilitate behavioural change and promote safe and healthy relationships.
- Have a sound understanding of the gendered nature of family and domestic violence and an ability to effectively assess and respond to risk of harm for all affected victim survivors.
- Formal graduate qualifications in Social Work Psychology or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications in counselling trauma group work or MBC practice are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with families affected by domestic and family violence including facilitating group work or MBC programs.
- Strong understanding of MBC practice trauma-informed care principles and the dynamics of domestic and family violence.
- Group facilitation skills particularly in men's behaviour change programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and foster relationships based on mutual respect and equality.
- High-level therapeutic skills that focus on empathy within a goal-oriented program and accountability framework.
