Delivering Change and Accountability: A Therapeutic Group Facilitator Role
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team in promoting change and accountability for men who have used violence in their relationships. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will co-facilitate the "Taking Responsibility" group as part of our Men's Behaviour Change (MBC) program.
The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of MBC practice, trauma-informed care principles, and the dynamics of domestic and family violence. You will have the ability to effectively assess and respond to risk of harm for all affected victim survivors, while fostering a therapeutic group environment that promotes positive behavioural change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Formal graduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
- Post-graduate qualifications in counselling, trauma, group work or MBC practice are highly desirable
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with families affected by domestic and family violence, including facilitating group work or MBC programs
- Strong understanding of MBC practice, trauma-informed care principles, and the dynamics of domestic and family violence
