**Strategic Leadership Opportunity**

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Assessment Manager.

This position involves leading a team of senior assessors, assessors, and recognition support officers to deliver quality services and meet service targets and functional responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing teams with decision-making functions and a strong ability in diplomacy and judgement to provide accurate, clear, and comprehensive decisions within defined time frames.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of senior assessors, assessors, and recognition support officers to deliver quality services and meet service targets and functional responsibilities.
  • Managing daily operations, including allocation of resources, management of incoming work, communication with staff and stakeholders, completion of reports and auditing outputs.
  • Providing advice on applications, including considering and determining complex applications as per established policy, guidelines, and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in community services, social work, criminology, psychology, victim services and/or family violence.
  • A deep commitment to actively pursuing a culturally safe workplace and organisation and improved outcomes for Aboriginal people, aligned with the principle of self-determination.
