Your New Role

This Business Analyst role requires high-level analytical skills and commercial acumen to articulate complex results to stakeholders. Your work will contribute significantly to the strategic direction of the Fund by making informed decisions.

This role is part of the Actuarial Consulting team and reports to the Senior Manager, Forecasting. The primary task involves supporting the detailed work on forecasting the Fund's membership using various analytical techniques to analyze key business drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support membership forecasting modelling and analysis (at least quarterly, more frequently in response to unanticipated market events)
  • Create strategic papers for senior management and ExCo
  • Assist with target setting and monitoring, and liaising with internal stakeholders on the impact of these targets
  • Support pricing analysis work as required by the Product team
  • Support the Retirement team with cameo analysis and other retirement strategy modelling
Requirements
  • Professional Actuarial Qualification
  • Tertiary qualification in a finance, statistical, actuarial or business-related discipline
  • Extensive experience in advanced financial, statistical, and business-related quantitative analyses
  • Experience in modelling, data analysis, and forecasting
  • Demonstrated success in presenting information and data with valuable insights
  • Experience with internal and external stakeholder engagement
  • Well-developed ability to identify incorrect data and obtain solutions
