Job Overview

We are seeking a senior health safety and environmental professional to lead our company's HSE strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with project teams and management to ensure effective implementation of HSE policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management systems to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
  • Drive performance monitoring and analytics to optimize HSE outcomes and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Foster a positive safety culture through employee training and engagement initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in incident management, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in HSE leadership roles within the construction industry.
  • Degree in HSE or related field; minimum Cert IV WHS qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including Queensland HSE legislation.
  • A proven track record in implementing sustainable HSE practices and driving cultural change.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
