As a key professional in our organization, the Work Health and Safety Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving consistent safety practices across various business units.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Integrate the GPC Health, Safety, and Environment Management System into operational procedures to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with operational leadership teams to integrate the GPC Safety Management System and WHS minimum standards into business operations, promoting a culture of accountability.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to equip leaders and managers with effective safety management skills, fostering a proactive approach to safety initiatives.
  • Design and implement engaging safety communications, such as toolbox scripts and presentations that align with the GPC Safety Communications Calendar, ensuring employees are informed and engaged.
  • Oversee compliance with HSE policies, supporting adherence to Federal and State laws and regulations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • WHS certification or relevant field expertise
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Business Partner or Advisor role
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver engaging safety content and complete incident reports.
  • Proven track record in implementing WHS Management Systems and procedures across multiple sites
  • Incident response, reporting, and investigation skills using ICAM methodology
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to drive outcomes in a commercial and pragmatic manner
