Administration Officer Job Description

The Mater Pathology is seeking a skilled Administration Officer to join our call centre team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing high volumes of calls and inquiries for Pathology and resolving or redirecting to the appropriate department/staff member/extension
  • Organizing home visits for patients
  • Liaising with couriers for pickups where required
  • Updating patient information
  • Performing administrative duties as required
  • Contribution to an efficient, productive, and positive workplace and communication and cooperation with fellow workers to promote teamwork within the department
  • Participation in regular meetings to review current work practices and participation in developmental courses

Requirements for this role include:

  • Data entry and call center experience
  • Proficient computer and typing skills and ability to utilize multiple computer systems
  • A commitment to excellent service and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a team member
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Mater Mission and values
  • Understanding of medical and pathology terminology
