Risk and Compliance Manager, Group and Corporate

About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned Risk and Compliance professional to support the development and implementation of group risk and compliance frameworks and systems. As a Risk and Compliance Manager, you will provide risk and compliance support to Challenger's corporate functions, working closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance to ensure that our risk management and compliance practices are best-in-class.
Key Responsibilities- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, providing expert guidance on risk management and compliance issues.
- Framework Development: Develop and maintain group-wide risk frameworks, ensuring they are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessments and Assurance: Conduct risk assessments and assurance reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring that our risk management practices are effective and efficient.
- Board and Risk Committee Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for the Board, Group Risk Committee, and Executive Leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on risk management and compliance.
- Risk Insights: Monitor and evaluate the external regulatory environment and emerging industry trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations to enhance our risk management practices.
- Risk Initiatives: Implement CPS 230 requirements, including enhancing supplier risk governance and developing training and communications for risk culture initiatives.
- Regulatory Advice: Provide expert guidance on regulatory interactions and maintain the GRC system effectively.
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance professional with at least 3-5 years' experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or a similar advisory role within financial services. You will have a strong understanding of financial services laws and regulatory frameworks, as well as experience with GRC systems and data analysis.
You will be a strong communicator, with experience of partnering with senior stakeholders and delivering best practice advice and guidance on risk and compliance. You will be comfortable presenting to others in a confident and professional manner, and have a knack for conveying information clearly, accurately, and succinctly.
