We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance professional to join our team at Challenger Limited. As a Risk and Compliance Manager, Group and Corporate, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing group risk and compliance frameworks and systems, while providing risk and compliance support to our corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization, providing expert guidance on risk management and compliance issues.
- Framework Development: Develop and maintain group-wide risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Risk Assessments and Assurance: Conduct risk assessments, control self-assessments, and Line 2 assurance reviews to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management processes.
- Board and Risk Committee Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to the Board, Group Risk Committee, and Executive Leadership team, providing insights into risk and compliance matters.
- Risk Insights: Monitor and analyze external regulatory environments and emerging industry trends, providing recommendations for best practices in risk management and compliance.
- Risk Initiatives: Implement CPS 230 requirements, including enhancing supplier risk governance and developing training and communications for risk culture initiatives.
- Regulatory Advice: Provide guidance on regulatory interactions and maintain the GRC system effectively.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or a similar advisory role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of financial services laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Good understanding of risk and compliance management practices and frameworks.
- Proficiency in using Excel, Power BI, and other systems to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
- Strong skills in data analysis and report writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally to provide pragmatic, balanced advice.
