About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team at Gallagher Bassett. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting injured workers through the workers compensation process. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and process claims, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement of medical expenses. You will be the central point of contact for injured workers, employers, and treating health providers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless communication throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process claims for injured workers, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement of medical expenses
  • Review and approve requests for compensation from injured workers for medical and surgical treatment
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is received to process reimbursements for treating health providers and injured workers
  • Perform administrative tasks, including assessing and processing invoices, entering contact notes, and drafting letters relating to claims decisions
  • Take and make high-volume client and customer calls relating to claims outcomes, updates, and customer service
  • Utilize claims management systems and databases to record and review claims information, ensuring privacy and accuracy of information
  • Support the review process for ongoing entitlement for medical and like compensation for injured workers
About You

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a customer service-based role, preferably in fields such as hospitality, retail, employment services, rehabilitation, mental health, social work, or health and safety. Tertiary study in psychology, social work, or a related field is beneficial but not essential. You will possess strong telephone-based conversational and communication skills, administrative skills, and the ability to learn and use systems and databases. Resilience, exceptional time management and organizational skills, and a team-player attitude are also essential.
