
Personal Injury Law Assistant

A permanent part-time role exists for a law student to join our Newcastle office and work in our CTP team, managing files, reporting, investigating, gathering and preparing information for advocacy in the Personal Injury Commission and courts.
">- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, reports and other relevant documentation.
- Investigate, gather and prepare evidence to support claims and negotiations.
- Prepare and present written submissions and other materials as required.
- Work collaboratively with lawyers and support staff to achieve outcomes.
About You:
- Availability to work 4 days/30 hours per week, with unpaid study leave during exam periods and mandatory placements.
- Prior work experience in fast-paced environments is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine interest in personal injury law and a desire to pursue a career in this field.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a practical, down-to-earth approach.
- Adaptability, resilience and a commitment to helping the team achieve its goals.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Self-confidence, initiative and a commitment to ongoing learning.
