The role of Medical Workforce Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our medical workforce.

This position plays a vital part in administering services that support the Medical Workforce Unit, including coordinating education, rostering, and onboarding for local health districts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating and Administer JMO Rosters: Developing rosters that are equitable, cost-effective, and adhere to safe working hours as per the Junior Medical Officer awards. This involves managing overtime, sick leave, and annual leave cover for all JMOs.
  • Maintaining daily rosters: Ensuring seamless coverage for JMOs, including managing rotations and secondments as required.
  • Coordinating JMO Onboarding and Credentialing: Providing comprehensive support to JMOs during their onboarding process, including credentialing and rotation management.
  • Providing Administrative Support: Preparing reports, newsletters, correspondence, meeting papers, and audits. This includes mandatory training, AHPRA registration, Visa requirements, WWCC clearance, Safe Working Hours, and UROC compliance.
  • Supporting Junior and Senior Medical Staff: Offering timely advice, guidance, and support to junior and senior medical staff as needed.
  • Maintaining Knowledge of Industrial Awards and Policies: Staying up-to-date with relevant industrial awards, legislative requirements, and policies at a local, district, and state level.
