Job Description

This commercial management position involves overseeing the strategic development of revenue opportunities, mitigating program risks, and managing key contracts and stakeholder relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, providing guidance on commercial elements, and upskilling and developing commercial capability within the allocated program of work.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to achieve the best solutions and outcomes, supporting the drafting of internal and external agreements, and providing direction to the team on the delivery of contract and project work portfolios through multiple contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary / post-graduate qualification in Commercial / Contract Management or related discipline (e.g. finance, contract law, etc.) is preferred
  • A minimum of five years' experience in the construction industry (or related areas), and five years in a related role would be beneficial
  • Demonstrable and successful commercial management experience / capability in a similar business environment with at least 10 years' experience gained at this level
  • Background in the successful negotiation of forms of contract with an acceptable risk profile in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Background in leadership of complex and comprehensive commercial teams
