Role Overview

This pivotal role is designed to drive quality excellence within a manufacturing environment.

The Quality Control Engineer plays a critical part in ensuring product integrity and managing non-conforming products throughout the production lifecycle. Perform vital metrology activities, process non-conformances, and oversee measurement instrument calibration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely processing of Non-Conformances (NCRs) and managing calibration of required instruments.
  • Conduct precise metrological services to ensure compliance with rigorous standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues and manage the disposition of discrepant materials.
  • Perform CMM programming and operation, and improve measurement techniques and methodologies.
  • Participate in maintaining quality system compliance and conducting internal audits.

Candidate Requirements

Strong background in quality control and metrology, with a focus on driving quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting. A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality discipline is essential.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with high precision metrology instrumentation.
  • Proficient in CMM programming and operating, specifically with Hexagon PC-DMIS.
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T principles and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills for fault finding and issue resolution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment.
