Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to provide high-quality, culturally appropriate nursing care for patients in a remote healthcare environment.

You will collaborate with our visiting primary healthcare teams to ensure an integrated service approach, focusing on prevention and early intervention. Your knowledge of emergency response, patient triaging, population health, chronic disease management, culturally safe practice, and health promotion will be essential in delivering a comprehensive health service.

The role involves working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues. You will also be expected to demonstrate initiative, compassion, and enthusiasm, as well as emotional resilience and physical fitness.

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post qualification general nursing experience
  • Dedicated clinician with significant experience in providing primary health care/population health and/or emergency health services in remote Australia and/or rural Multi-Purpose Health Service Facilities
  • Compassionate professional with a demonstrated understanding of the principles of Primary Health care, community development and the social determinants of health
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with initiative, compassion, and enthusiasm
  • Emotionally resilient and physically fit
