
Senior Information Governance Specialist

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our information governance team. The successful candidate will provide strategic advice, leadership, and direction in relation to the preservation, management, and access to our information assets.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement systems for maintaining, accessing, and preserving information
- Ensure knowledge of contemporary best practices and compliance with regulatory frameworks
- Lead a team of professionals, modeling leadership behaviors while promoting innovation and continuous improvement in information management
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience in developing, implementing, and improving records and information management governance frameworks within a public service organization
- In-depth understanding of Australian information management legislation, standards, policies, and authorities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills, with a proven ability as a trusted advisor to senior management
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated professional experience in Records Management, Information Management, Knowledge Management, Archives Management, or a related field
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
