National Insurance Policy Director

The DSH Insurance Scheme is a national initiative providing home building insurance to eligible veterans, war widows and Australian Defence Force personnel.
This position oversees the management of operational centers in Brisbane and Melbourne, with a small team based in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing national policies, including premium setting and claims management.
This role requires strong leadership skills, current knowledge of the insurance industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the activities of DSH Insurance, including financial management, strategic direction and policy administration.
- Implement initiatives to meet corporate objectives in service delivery to the veteran and ADF communities.
- Drive organisational change and provide leadership in reviewing business improvement initiatives.
- Regularly review the Scheme's effectiveness in service delivery, having regard to workload and outcome indicators.
