
Director of Economic Policy

This is a key position within our organization, focused on driving economic growth and development in Victoria.
The Director of Economic Policy will lead the development of policy frameworks, reform opportunities, and strategic projects aimed at enhancing Victoria's productivity and competitiveness.
- Provide authoritative advice to senior colleagues on ways to boost Victoria's economic performance;
- Develop and implement policy solutions to drive economic growth and job creation;
- Negotiate and influence stakeholders to shape policy thinking and achieve collaborative solutions.
- Formulate and communicate public policy options and recommendations;
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Victorian economy and economic policy issues at a state, national, and international level;
- Apply project management skills, including preparing work plans, monitoring performance against objectives, and managing risks and issues.
- A strong background in economics or a related field;
- Demonstrated experience in policy development and implementation;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
