About the Role:

The Agency is seeking a highly skilled APS6 Policy Officer to join their team in shaping policy and designing and implementing the Agency's reform. As a Policy Officer, you will be responsible for leading research and analysis to develop policy, preparing and coordinating policy advice, drafting policy documents, and managing policy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policy initiatives to achieve outcomes.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions.
  • Prepare and coordinate policy advice for senior stakeholders.
  • Draft policy documents, including reports, briefings, and correspondence.
  • Manage policy projects, including identifying and addressing risks.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of the policy development process and how it works to achieve outcomes.
  • Policy development experience, including contributing to preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings, and correspondence.
  • A relevant bachelor degree.
