They are in search of a seasoned Business Development/Market Development Manager to elevate the business further.
Your success in this role will hinge on your industry expertise and the relationships you have cultivated throughout your career. This position requires a blend of knowledge and networking skills, particularly in Water, Sewer, and Pump Station projects.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing relationships with Local Government and Council clients across the region, with support from the MD for introductions (regular travel required).
- Utilizing your industry insights and connections to identify and pursue new project opportunities, collaborating with the Estimating and Projects teams.
- Networking within the industry to stay informed about upcoming projects and building valuable relationships.
- Collaborating with the leadership team to diversify business offerings and develop effective sales and market strategies.
- Providing regular updates on activities to the MD and sharing market intelligence with colleagues.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record in Civil Construction, particularly in securing projects related to Water, Sewer, and Pump Stations.
- Relevant engineering qualifications and strong technical knowledge; experience in Project Management or Estimating is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to prioritize effectively to manage time.
- Strong industry relationships that can be leveraged for business development.
- A positive attitude, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to contribute significantly to the company's growth.
