Business Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Business Development/Market Development Manager to join our team at Norwest Recruitment. As a key player in driving business growth, you will be responsible for building upon established relationships with Local Government/Council clients around NSW, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to pursue upcoming projects, and working with the Estimating & Projects team to identify appropriate opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic business growth plans to drive revenue growth and expand our client base
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Government/Council clients, identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals to secure projects
- Collaborate with the Estimating & Projects team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to drive growth
- Network within the industry to stay up-to-date on market trends and identify potential opportunities for growth
- Provide regular reporting on activity to the Managing Director and communicate market intel to colleagues
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated success in Civil Construction securing projects involving Water/Sewer/Pumpstations
- Relevant Engineering based qualifications, strong technical skill/knowledge - Project Management/Estimating experience viewed favourably
- Excellent communication skills and strong prioritising skills to manage your time effectively
- Strong relationships within the industry/sector that you can leverage for winning business
- A friendly attitude, a desire to work with good people who have a sense of humour, and an eagerness to be a key player helping build a business through its next stage of growth
- Up to $170,000 + Super + Vehicle + Performance Bonus, depending upon experience
- Autonomous role – a key position for driving business growth
- Working with a business known for quality project delivery
- Friendly team, work with a good bunch of people
- Solid pipeline of projects with Government clients, as well as premier private sector clients
