About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development/Market Development Manager to join our team at Norwest Recruitment. As a key player in driving business growth, you will be responsible for building upon established relationships with Local Government/Council clients around NSW, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to pursue upcoming projects, and working with the Estimating & Projects team to identify appropriate opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic business growth plans to drive revenue growth and expand our client base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Government/Council clients, identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals to secure projects
  • Collaborate with the Estimating & Projects team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to drive growth
  • Network within the industry to stay up-to-date on market trends and identify potential opportunities for growth
  • Provide regular reporting on activity to the Managing Director and communicate market intel to colleagues
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated success in Civil Construction securing projects involving Water/Sewer/Pumpstations
  • Relevant Engineering based qualifications, strong technical skill/knowledge - Project Management/Estimating experience viewed favourably
  • Excellent communication skills and strong prioritising skills to manage your time effectively
  • Strong relationships within the industry/sector that you can leverage for winning business
  • A friendly attitude, a desire to work with good people who have a sense of humour, and an eagerness to be a key player helping build a business through its next stage of growth
