About the Role

Australian BioResources (ABR) is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Facility Technician. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare clean boxes, bedding, and consumables to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
  • Distribute equipment and materials around the facility, including animal holding areas, laboratories, and workspaces.
  • Clean and ensure hygiene in staff rooms, administration rooms, staff change rooms, and access corridors, creating a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Operate specialized washing and decontamination equipment (training will be provided).

Requirements:

  • Ability to clean to a high standard and work according to a schedule.
  • Ability to follow instructions in using and cleaning high-tech equipment such as autoclaves.
  • Good level of fitness, including ability to lift and perform general manual handling tasks.
  • Strong commitment to animal welfare.
  • Ability to work individually or as a member of a team.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
