Navy Safety Management System Manager

Job Opportunity
The role of Navy Safety Management System Manager is a critical position that requires high level expertise in quality assurance, governance and risk management.
You will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of the Navy Safety Management System and developing new safety assurance initiatives.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation of the Navy Safety Assurance Program to ensure statutory requirements are met by Navy.
- Lead quality assurance processes and governance procedures to ensure the safety management system is implemented effectively.
- Design strategies to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance, governance and risk management processes.
- Provide advice on safety policy and approach to safety risk management.
- Assess trends in WHS performance to identify high risk areas and design remediation strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders on quality assurance activities to achieve expected outcomes.
