About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Injury Management Professional to join our team and lead proactive return-to-work strategies across our organisation. As a key member of our People & Culture team, you'll work closely with leaders, external providers, and medical specialists to support injured employees and volunteers throughout their recovery journey.

This dynamic role requires a unique blend of empathy, strategic thinking, and technical expertise. You'll drive a positive safety culture, manage end-to-end injury cases, partner with leaders to equip them with knowledge and resources, and contribute to continuous improvement in systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving a positive safety culture by promoting early intervention and psychologically safe practices
  • Managing end-to-end injury cases, supporting injured employees and volunteers through timely communication, tailored planning, and compassionate care
  • Partnering with leaders to equip them with knowledge, resources, and confidence to support their team members through recovery and return-to-work processes
  • Collaborating with medical providers and rehabilitation specialists to coordinate appropriate treatment and develop practical, achievable recover-at-work plans
  • Ensuring compliance and accuracy through detailed record-keeping, case documentation, claims coordination, and liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Reviewing data and identifying trends to contribute to continuous improvement in systems, processes, and injury prevention strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Injury Management, Workplace Health & Safety, Allied Health, Rehabilitation, or a related field
  • Proven experience managing injury cases, including workers' compensation, non-work injuries, and return-to-work programs
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and coach leaders in a constructive, professional way
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, helping you tailor solutions that balance organisational goals with the needs of individuals
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple cases while staying calm under pressure
