About the Opportunity

Programmed's Property Services department is currently seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Operator to join our open space team in Western Sydney. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that provides grounds maintenance and development across various client sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and improvement of the grounds and gardens, working closely with the project manager. As a casual worker, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and work at your own pace.

In this role, you will be operating a range of equipment including mowers, pruners, and weed control tools. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high standards of grounds presentation and upkeep
  • Perform routine mowing and turf maintenance tasks
  • Prune and shape plants across the grounds to maintain aesthetic appeal
  • Operate a variety of small plant equipment, including mowers and trimmers
  • Control weeds and pests using manual and chemical methods
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations
About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess experience in gardening or landscaping, with a passion for delivering quality work and a commitment to workplace safety. You should also have the following qualifications and skills:

  • A qualification or experience in horticultural parks and gardens, gardening, and landscaping
  • A current driver's license and white card
  • A current working with children's check
  • A professional approach to the workplace
  • An ability to execute work to a high standard
  • A strong understanding of quality, environmental, occupational health, and safety management systems
