The City of Kwinana has a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Sports and Programs Team Leader to join the award-winning team at Kwinana Recquatic. This position is classified as a PACS Band 6 under the structured remuneration system.

About the Role

You will coordinate and deliver quality sport and lifestyle programs for all age groups at Kwinana Recquatic, creating a customer-centric environment, building a strong rapport with community members, and ensuring continuous improvement to service delivery. The successful incumbent will monitor, respond to, and report on program and business development objectives.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent leadership abilities, strong organisational skills, and experience promoting and marketing programs/services in an innovative way that drives growth. Additionally, you will need to provide first aid certification, police clearance, and a driver's license.

  • Comprehensive understanding of sports and programs offered within a recreation centre setting.
  • Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate team members, set clear goals, and provide guidance and support.
  • Strong organisational skills to plan, coordinate, and manage tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information, provide feedback, and maintain open lines of communication with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Experience promoting and marketing programs/services in an innovative way that drives growth.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Recreation, or equivalent level of experience.
  • First Aid Certificate, Police Clearance, and Driver's License.
