Energy Transition Director

As a key member of our team at the Green Recruitment Company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the energy industry. We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our commercial advisory efforts, leveraging their expertise in the energy market, carbon markets, or green fuels industry to drive business outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Commercial Leadership: Provide strategic commercial advice to clients, grounded in deep market knowledge and quantitative analysis, with a focus on wholesale electricity markets, carbon markets, and green fuels.
- Client Engagement: Engage with leadership teams across the energy sector, particularly within wholesale markets, strategy, risk management, and trading functions.
- Project Management: Lead and oversee cross-functional teams, working collaboratively with both consulting staff and client employees to deliver complex projects.
- Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and lead small teams to foster development and deliver exceptional results.
- Business Development: Play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, expanding client relationships, and helping the consultancy grow its client base within the energy, carbon, and green fuels markets.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record in commercial advisory, gained either from working within internal strategy or commercial teams, or as a consultant to the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the energy market, carbon markets, or green fuels industry, and be able to provide strategic, high-impact advice to clients.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader and team manager, with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead small teams to deliver exceptional results. They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
