Counsellor - Sexual Assault Support Services

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated counsellor to join our team of therapeutic professionals, providing specialist clinical support and advocacy services to individuals impacted by sexual assault and violence.
This critical role involves delivering trauma-informed counselling to adults, young people, and children who have been affected by such traumatic experiences. The successful candidate will develop and facilitate group-based and peer support programs, working collaboratively with clients to create a safe and non-judgmental environment.
In addition to these responsibilities, the incumbent will provide crisis intervention and effectively manage complex situations, utilising their expertise to address diverse client needs and maintain a child-safe organisation.
Requirements and Qualifications- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as counselling, social work, or psychology.
- Proven knowledge of the impacts and dynamics surrounding sexual assault and violence.
- Experience in working with victims of sexual assault and violence.
- The ability to quickly acquire relevant legislation and policies pertaining to sexual assault and child protection in Tasmania.
