Trauma-Informed Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and committed counseling professional to provide specialist clinical support and advocacy services to victim-survivors of sexual assault.
The successful applicant will work with adults, young people, and/or children who have been impacted by sexual assault and violence. They will also participate in outreach services and educational program delivery.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position working up to full-time, with hours negotiable for the successful applicant. Our counsellors have access to both internal and external supervision, as well as generous opportunities for professional development.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault and experience in trauma-informed counselling.
- Experience working with and counselling adults, young people, and/or children who have been impacted by sexual assault and violence.
- Demonstrates experience in crisis intervention, including the ability to effectively intervene, prioritise, and manage crisis situations.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and proven capacity to meet the diverse needs of clients.
- Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of relevant legislation and policies pertaining to sexual assault, child protection, and family violence.
