Job Description:

Mental health clinicians play a pivotal role in assessing and treating mental health issues among infants, children, adolescents, and their families.

The role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide clinic-based mental health assessment, formulation, and treatment for complex and acute young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of mental health needs and develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including individual and family therapy, to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with schools and other agencies to drive meaningful change and work from a relational and systemic framework.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and families in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
