The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $65,499 per annum, plus maintenance allowance and 11.5% superannuation.

About the Role

This Equipment Maintenance Operator role plays an integral part in maintaining Council's reactive and routine road and associated infrastructure assets.

You will be responsible for loading and unloading machinery, plant, and equipment, ensuring work complies with Council's Road Management Plan and other infrastructure maintenance service levels.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the prioritization of work with the Team Leader, assisting members of the public with enquiries, and completing allocated work to an appropriate standard and procedure.

You will also contribute to the Logistics & Procurement team by adopting safety procedures and responding to after-hours maintenance response services.

Your Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience hauling light and heavy earthmoving machinery and plant;
  • Civil-related plant and equipment qualification and/or competencies;
  • Sound knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (NHVR) and Chain of Responsibility (COR) Regulations;
  • Reliable attitude, good attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work to KPIs and targets, as well as understand and follow OH&S policies and procedures;
  • Current Driver's Licence and Heavy Combination license (or willingness to obtain).
