Cybersecurity Governance Role Overview

As a Cybersecurity Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for leading the assessment program across equity businesses, enhancing overall cyber posture. This includes shaping and improving cybersecurity frameworks, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to strategic governance initiatives.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires a bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field, as well as proven experience in cybersecurity and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). You will be hands-on conducting assessments and audits, familiar with ASD Essential Eight (E8) and frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST CSF, APRA CPS234, and knowledgeable about Australian regulatory requirements including the Corporations Act and Privacy Act.

You will advise subsidiaries and brokers on cybersecurity and IT-related matters, manage external vendors conducting assessments and monitor remediation efforts, set up and oversee external attack surface monitoring and risk tracking, and contribute to governance strategy development and incident response support.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
