Job Role: Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and processes.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive security audit records for audits
  • Leveraging your expertise to lead local security incident investigations
  • Evaluating and configuring security systems to detect and prevent potential threats
  • Performing regular vulnerability management tasks as per established requirements
  • Reviewing and advising on requests for change from a security perspective
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for local systems to ensure compliance with security policies

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Australian Citizenship to attain Baseline Clearance
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an information security function
  • Strong technical knowledge of current IT security systems, practices, and standards
  • Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management tools, intrusion detection, and other security systems
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of information security and cyber security standards, frameworks, and codes of practice
  • Certification as a CISSP or CISM is highly regarded
