This position is responsible for providing intake services, conducting assessments, and responding to immediate needs for Aboriginal clients seeking support through the Orange Door Hub in the Outer East region. The role will provide short-term support and refer clients to agencies for further assistance where necessary.
About You- Minimum degree qualified in Social Work (or equivalent) or willingness to work toward the qualification in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy or significant lived experience relevant to the work.
- Minimum two years' experience in the Family Violence sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA's vision and purpose.
- Proven experience in child and family services and/or family violence sector.
- Completed MARAM training and proven experience of using MARAM.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in intake processes and comprehensive assessments to determine needs for clients and able to formulate interventions to respond to the needs.
- Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and a Victorian Driver Licence.
