Real Estate Finance Associate

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Real Estate Finance team as an Associate. The successful candidate will contribute to the origination and execution of finance transactions in the real estate sector in Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the origination of finance transactions in the real estate sector, including non-recourse and corporate transactions.
- Structure and assist in the execution of finance transactions, including market and transaction-specific analysis, due diligence, and credit application preparation.
- Collaborate with the Societe Generale credit department and external advisors to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Participate in loan documentation and coordination with internal teams for primary and secondary loan distribution.
- Monitor and follow up on client relationships and provide business line input on transaction monitoring and annual reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with Australia real estate market conditions and trends, including ESG considerations.
- Contribute to the on-the-job training and development of junior staff.
- University degree in a relevant discipline (business, commerce, law).
- 3-5 years of structured finance experience, preferably in real estate finance.
- Strong numerical skills and understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements, and cashflows.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling.
- Strong ability in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in real estate finance or another structured finance environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and autonomously.
- Display a sense of ownership and pride in work quality and accuracy.
- Commitment to team priorities and strategy.
- Experience working with diverse international backgrounds and acting on team priorities.
- Alignment with Societe Generale values and code of conduct.
