Job Description:

The role presents an exceptional opportunity to join our team as a skilled electrical tradesperson at our Stapylton site.

This is a full-time position as an integral member of the maintenance team, rotating on both morning and afternoon shifts across multiple 24-hour production facilities.

As part of the maintenance team, industrial electricians play a critical role in supporting the production crew through both preventive maintenance and breakdown support.

We are seeking an individual with previous experience working as an industrial electrician in a high-volume manufacturing facility, holding relevant trade qualifications and demonstrating good communication, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure commitment to safety, quality, and the environment
  • Carry out electrical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Operations team during breakdowns, fault finding, and troubleshooting issues
  • Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintain PLCs and circuitry
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Perform major overhauls through various plant shutdowns.
  • Focus on continuous improvement ideas.
  • Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualified (Valid unrestricted electrical licence)
  • Demonstrated experience working as an Electrician in an industrial environment
  • A high level of fault-finding experience
  • PLC diagnostic experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual
  • A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
  • Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision.
