We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our Family & Relationship Services program located at our Kalgoorlie office. This role is primarily to provide counselling to enhance the healthy functioning of individuals, couples and families.

The successful candidate will have a recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development and/or Family studies and related disciplines or equivalent.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Screening, assessments and support planning.
  • Selecting and providing appropriate brief intervention supports for clients.
  • Assessing supports and ensuring that they are appropriate to meeting client's needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based counselling and group interventions.
  • Referring and assisting clients to access appropriate mainstream specialist services and support groups.
  • Providing information and education to clients, carers, families and other service providers.
