About the Role

Centrecare is seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our Parenting Orders program located at our Kalgoorlie office. As a Counsellor, you will provide counselling services to enhance the healthy functioning of individuals, couples, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screening, assessments, and support planning for clients
  • Selecting and providing appropriate brief intervention supports for clients
  • Assessing supports and ensuring they meet client needs
  • Delivering evidence-based counselling and group interventions
  • Referring and assisting clients to access mainstream specialist services and support groups
  • Providing information and education to clients, carers, families, and other service providers
Requirements
  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Mental Health, Counselling, Childhood Development, and/or Family studies and related disciplines
  • Relevant experience in working with children and families with complex needs
  • Experience in case management and coordination of client services
  • Demonstrated experience in intake, assessment, and case management
  • Knowledge and experience in early intervention and prevention program services
