Quarry Operations Manager

The Quarry Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quarry, ensuring that production volumes are maintained in accordance with the quarry production plan. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that the quarry production process is carried out in a cost-effective manner, with a focus on continuous improvement to achieve business objectives.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards: The Quarry Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all company safety standards and procedures are achieved, and that all personnel are inducted and trained for the tasks they perform.
- Staff Supervision: The Quarry Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintenance Planning and On-Site Improvements: The Quarry Supervisor will be responsible for planning and implementing maintenance activities, as well as identifying opportunities for on-site improvements.
- Assist with Audits: The Quarry Supervisor will assist the Quarry Management team with site internal and external audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted on time.
- Operation Compliance with Environmental Objectives: The Quarry Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all personnel are aware of and comply with environmental objectives, and that all necessary procedures are in place to minimize the impact of quarry operations on the environment.
- Participate in Safety Improvement Team Meetings: The Quarry Supervisor will actively participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings, providing input and suggestions for improving safety procedures and protocols.
- Conduct Daily Pre-Start Meetings: The Quarry Supervisor will conduct daily pre-start meetings with personnel, reviewing the day's tasks and ensuring that all personnel are aware of their responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety, with previous employment in a zero-harm environment. They will be flexible with hours of work, including weekends, to meet the needs of the quarry operations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to deal with stakeholders and customers across a broad spectrum, are essential for this role.
