About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Quarry Operations Specialist to join our team at Hanson Australia. As a key member of our Farleigh Quarry team in Mackay, QLD, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including front-end loaders and dump trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including front-end loaders and dump trucks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment and facilities.
  • Assist in the operation of fixed crushing plants and blending plants.
  • Perform manual handling tasks and work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Collaborate with the Quarry Manager and other team members to achieve operational goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Total commitment to risk management and occupational health and safety.
  • A positive work ethic and ability to work within Hanson Australia's values.
  • The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • No issues with working in an environment that involves dirt, mud, and grease.
