Companion Pet Care Specialist

This is an overnight role, caring for dogs, cats or small animals in their homes while their owners are travelling. Our overnight sittings can be one or multiple nights in a row, weeknights or weekends. It can also be paired with 30 - 60 minute walks and pop-in visits during the day.

We are seeking individuals who love animals above all else, have incredible communications skills, enjoy travelling to various locations and keeping homes neat and tidy, are reliable, organised and trustworthy, and use initiative and decision-making skills to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Caring for pets, including feeding, watering, exercising, and cleaning up after them
  • Making sure pets get lots of attention and love, and have cosy movie nights with them
  • Ensuring homes are secure at all times, and kept nice and tidy
  • Traveling to various locations to care for pets and homes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current ABN
  • Police check clearance
  • Public liability insurance
  • Valid driver's licence and access to own vehicle
  • Mobile phone and data plan
  • Previous experience with animals and knowledge of animal behaviour and handling
  • Pet first aid certification
