Compassionate Caregiver Needed for Complex Needs

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with complex trauma and psycho-social challenges.
The successful candidate will provide personalized care and support to participants, working collaboratively with external care teams and families to enhance their quality of life and physical and mental health.
This role requires empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills to foster community inclusion and participation. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with complex mental illness and be able to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living skills and community activities tailored to meet individual needs.
- Stay up-to-date with participants' evolving needs and care plans, ensuring timely adjustments as required.
- Foster community inclusion and participation, facilitating relationships and interests through access to community activities and services.
- Work closely with clinical teams, attend training sessions, and ensure treatment plans are implemented with precision and care.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A qualification in disability, mental health, or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience supporting individuals with complex mental illness.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear case note documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration and autonomous work.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Current First Aid Certificate.
- NSW Drivers license and vehicle.
