Support Specialist

We are seeking a Support Specialist to join our dynamic service provider. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate and driven professionals who value customer service and teamwork.

As a Support Specialist, you will connect participants with relevant services and supports, assist them in understanding and optimizing their plans, and manage challenges related to access to education, health, justice services, etc.

The ideal candidate will have existing networks and client bases, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will also be autonomous and organized, with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

  • Connect participants with relevant services and supports
  • Assist participants in understanding and optimizing their NDIS plans
  • Manage challenges related to access to education, health, justice services, etc.
  • Reduce barriers to plan implementation and usage
  • Build participant capacity
  • Develop and design support solutions to meet outcomes
  • Resolve crises and foster resilience within the participant's network
  • Coach participants through challenges
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to keep them informed
  • Prepare participants for reviews and report on outcomes
Requirements:
  • Existing client base
  • Adherence to KPI: 30 billable hours per week
  • Team player
  • Autonomous and organized
  • NDIS knowledge, especially support coordination, choice, and control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Effective time management and prioritization
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders
